Mushi-Shi Review: A Fine Cup of Medicine for the Mind

Do you know what Forest Bathing is? When you are stuck in a city like me, you naturally want to reconnect with all things green because greenery is life. That’s why many people like to go to the woods where I am from. Unfortunately, since I am a loner, it’s not safe for a woman… Read more

Red Bow Review: A Nice Bittersweet Treat

I heard in Japan there is a vending machine for everything. Is there a vending machine for fast games? A quick game that will give you a mental boost?  Yes, this game is very short. Depending where you purchase the game (I bought mine on Steam for around $2), it wasn’t a huge loss. I… Read more

  • Tokyo Dark: Decent but Missed the Mark

Okay, I think I was rather harsh with my assessment of what I think about Tokyo Dark, an adventure point-and-click horror video game created by Cherrymochi. I deleted my old post which I titled Tokyo Dark: Too Political It Will Make the Old Fat Pervert Cry, pointing out how the game lacks depth. But I must say the… Read more

  • Netflix Series Beastars: Is the Rabbit Really a Slut?

Disclaimer: For mature audiences. Not for children. Please watch the show before reading this article. This is just my interpretation of the show. Oh, my virgin mind was tainted by the innocent schoolboy and schoolgirl stuffed animal-like cartoon. How did a show manage to fool me into thinking that I was watching a show about… Read more

Hi, I am S. (a.k.a. Halsdoll), the author of this blog. I have a passion for metaphors. On my blog, I mainly cover video games, but I also cover books, films, and TV series if I find them interesting and poetic. If you enjoy my content and would like to see more posts, please consider subscribing.

I like to set realistic, personalized goals. After all, everyone is different. Setting small goals is achievable and is good for mental health. Check out my blog for more details. It was a cloudy. So I doodled. It was Halloween. The sky was grey like a blanket. I was safe, staring at the window. Never thought I would ever get to see the Northern lights in the Midwest. It is so much beautiful in real life than in pictures. A walk in the park. Enjoying Autumn leaves. When a game tells you to take frequent breaks if you start to feel uncomfortable, it means it hit a nerve. Even though I welcome cooler months so I can stay in door and read, all I can think about is spending more time out in nature, but nature can be a dangerous place. White Fang by Jack London's fixed my needs. So far, I am enjoying the writing the style and the story! drizzled days Do your best~ #talesoftheblackforest #gaming King Boreas: 'Why doust thou seek the downfall of lor-nay King Borea, sovereign of winter?"
