Reconnecting with Nature

Thought I would do something different. I am taking a mental break from writing reviews until next month. In the meantime, I will keep this blog updated as usual. Sometimes all you need is a nice picture and positive vibes. I know I appreciate those!

Recently I finished reading My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George and I would love to share my favorite quote from the book:

“People live too closely together [and yet they are] lonelier than I (p.165-66).”

I remember as a kid, my parents like to drive out into the woods. One time, I remember sitting on a log near a cliff overlooking the mountains and I felt content and happy. To this day, hiking remains to be one of my favorite hobbies of all time. When my mind is clouded, I just go for a nature walk and take deep breaths. It always makes me feel better. This book and that quote reminded me just of that.

Oh My God you went outside? Us gamers should never! 😉

Just joking, of course! This is a great idea for a palette-cleanser of a post. Hope you enjoyed the book 🙂
