    Rule of Rose Review

Some people have the tendency to gravitate toward a tale that makes them weep instead of one that brings them joy.  If we take a step back and look at ourselves, we are strange creatures that innately want to be happy, but find comfort in the bittersweet tale.  Perhaps, some of us are attracted to… Read more

    Detention: An Indie Horror Game

After feeling disappointed with Evil Within 2, I decided to look for a new horror game to forget that horrid game.   I found Detention, watching a Youtube video clip, and so I gave it a shot.  I am not going to lie: survival horror/horror is my favorite video game genre and there is a good reason why.  But let’s… Read more

Author's portrait in black and white

Hi, I am S. (a.k.a. Halsdoll), the author of this blog. I play video games and fish for metaphors. I look for metaphors in everything. Nice to meet you.

The best days are gloomy days When the internet becomes too loud, I escape into the prairie. This game is so underrated. Welcome Spring and solitary Resident Evil 0 received a lot of criticism due to the lack of item boxes. Oddly, that is what I like about it. It makes the game more fun to manage your items between two characters. It can also be challenging, but I suppose you have to play multiple times to become efficient with this game. Replay value is great! I like to set realistic, personalized goals. After all, everyone is different. Setting small goals is achievable and is good for mental health. Check out my blog for more details. It was a cloudy. So I doodled. It was Halloween. The sky was grey like a blanket. I was safe, staring at the window. Never thought I would ever get to see the Northern lights in the Midwest. It is so much beautiful in real life than in pictures. A walk in the park. Enjoying Autumn leaves.
